5 Rules of Rock Hard Abs

Rules you must Follow if you want a Rock Hard Six Pack.

There is no secret formula for rock hard abs, if there were one easy secret then there wouldn’t be so many ab machines and ab pills on the market. There are rules that can assist anyone, regardless of gender or age, with getting six pack abs.

Rock Hard Abs Rule #1: Foods high in fiber must become a major component in your diet. Not only do these foods keep you satiated longer, but the main reason for consuming them is that they clean out our digestive tract. Fiber acts like a scrubber in your intestines that moves any buildup, helping to make the digest process more efficient. Fiber also regulates your blood sugar by slowing the digestion of carbohydrates, this helps reduce the risk of weight gain and diabetes. Think of this as the original detox.

Rock Hard Abs Rule #2: You must do a variety of strength-training workouts that work all of the body’s muscles. Using weight machines to do arms one day and legs the next is not a very good plan. Strength workouts that require muscle groups to work together and at the same time helps to work your body the way it is supposed to work. A muscle’s movement is intertwined with other muscles and weight machines often just focus on building up one specific muscle and not overall body toning. Also, all over strength moves get the heart rate up higher, letting you burn more calories during your workout.

Rock Hard Abs Rule #3: Stay hydrated. This is one of the easiest ways to stay healthy, yet it is something so many people forget to do. Drink lots of water throughout the day and especially in the hours leading up to your workout. Water helps flush out toxins from the body and wards off things like fatigue and cramps which can cut a workout short. Another great thing about consuming water is that it will help you consume fewer calories since a lot of time when people think they are very hungry, they are actually just thirsty. Try drinking a glass of water before a meal and you will eat less without even thinking about it. And remember, thirst is your body telling you that you are already dehydrated so be smart and try to drink water before your body is begging for it.

Rock Hard Abs Rule #4: Having a well crafted cardio plan is just as important as a well thought out muscle building plan for losing weight and revealing six pack abs. Pick a plan that has cardio workouts that vary in length and intensity. Low intensity days are perfect for recovery days since low intensity weight lifting cannot be considered a recovery day. High intensity cardio workouts will burn the most calories of any exercise and will help build endurance so that you perform your strength workouts correctly without getting fatigued. A cardio workout can be an aerobics class, time spent on a stationary bike or elliptical machine, biking, running swimming and even walking at a fast pace.

Rock Hard Abs Rule #5: Get smart about the ab exercises you do. Clearly, working the core is an obvious step towards getting a six pack. But don’t just depend on crunches and sit-ups that you were taught to do in high school gym. There are a great variety of ab exercises to work all of the core and in different ways. Side Arm Balance or the Plank Pose force you to stay in one position for a minute or so which forces your muscles to stabilize the body the entire time, something that a sit-up cannot get you. Also look into moves the incorporate dumbbells or resistance bans, these can really increase the intensity of a move.

So the five rules of rock hard abs involve strength and cardio exercise that allows for variety in intensity and works all of the body. Add to this lots of different types of ab moves so that you are working the entire core area. To fuel you through these workouts, you will want to drink lots of water and eat foods high in fiber to keep your body a well tuned machine.
