An entire museum could be filled with exercise equipment sold specifically for ab development. Stay up and watch late night infomercials and you will most certainly see one selling you either pills to melt the fat away or some strange looking product that in “just 3 minutes a day!” promises to give you six pack abs. It seems like these fads get outdated faster than computer equipment.
As the famous saying goes, “Another sucker is born each minute.” These products play on people’s desperation for six pack abs and a shapely body. These marketers figure that if they can promise something even quicker and easier than the competing product, they will make more sales. This may be true of software, but not of gaining a healthy body.
Below are four secrets that these infomercials and marketers don’t want you to know. If a marketer came along and wanted to run a commercial to tell you these, all of the other marketers would refuse to run ads on that station and the TV station would lose money. Here are the four secrets that you need to know in order to get toned abs.
First Secret: A lot of “health foods” have been introduced to consumers that promise weight lose, healthiness, and even stomach fat spot removal. Turn a blind eye to these products. They give honest people false hope and leaves them more discouraged from seeking a healthy body after they eat this food and discover it does nothing. These foods are either calorie dense or so full of artificial ingredients that your body will recognize it as a chemical invader and not a source of nutrition. These foods are also manufactured by the same companies that specialize in making candy bars and junk food.
Second Secret: You need cardio exercise. No piece of weight training is so “all-in-one” that you can cut out cardio if you want six pack abs.
Third Secret: You don’t need dietary supplements to get healthy. Getting your vitamins and minerals naturally from whole foods is much healthier, is higher in quality, and doesn’t confuse your body with unneeded chemicals and additives.
Fourth Secret: No matter how “high-tech” or “new age” an ab machine looks, 3 minutes a day is NOT enough to get toned abs. Turn off the TV and research a comprehensive ab plan that incorporates strength, cardio and a healthy diet.
